We are delighted to welcome Crédit Agricole Assurances to our Better Driving Community ecosystem as an insurance expert committed to safer and more responsible mobility!

Pacifica, the property and casualty insurance subsidiary of Crédit Agricole Assurances, is joining the “Better Driving Community,” launched in 2019 by the Michelin Group through its Driving Data to Intelligence (DDi) business, alongside Colas, CGI and TotalEnergies. The initiative aims to promote safer and more responsible road mobility thanks to driving data. A genuine community of drivers committed to road safety, this project federates an ecosystem of partners whose aim is to innovate and improve the mobility of tomorrow.

By joining this community, Pacifica intends to:

    • Be at the forefront of innovation by pooling the know-how of the best data and AI experts.
    • Make its policyholders aware of the importance of road safety and offer them an eco-driving score in the near future.

This partnership allows stakeholders to improve their knowledge of vehicle use (mileage, driving styles, speed, roads used), and to link it to action proposals such as the identification of dangerous areas and the development of road infrastructures. On the prevention side, the benefit is twofold: on the one hand, the user benefits directly from personalized information on his driving via a free mobile application, accessible to all drivers in France, which enables him to improve his driving behavior; on the other hand, Pacifica, thanks to the study of the aggregated data, will be able to develop its road risk prevention tools (driving courses, advice) to better take into account risky situations.

Guillaume ORECKIN, Pacifica’s Managing Director, says: “As a responsible insurer, we want to use data processing to prevent risks as much as possible and work towards better road safety, thus contributing to safe, responsible and ecological driving.
